As a Security Officer Visitor Access in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized access, issue and collect visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain access records.
  • Observe vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery activity at gates, docks, and restricted areas; communicate access concerns or unusual activity to site leadership and/and or appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.
