As an Unarmed Security Officer at a busy hospital, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors at a government care facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, resident-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and visitor documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership.
