As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Detail in Bronx, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed. You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through a scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
Requirements
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the lobby, common areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points and visitor activity, verify access permissions according to site procedures, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in required reports.
