About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Detail in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
- Support daily operations by documenting observations, completing routine reports, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents and post activities.
