As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Detail in Ruther Glen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring reliability, agility, and integrity to every shift while working as part of a team that puts people first.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution location, including interior areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor, vendor, and/or delivery activity as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized entry or movement within restricted areas.
• Support daily logistics and distribution operations by observing trailer yards, dock areas, and high-traffic zones for security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or operational disruptions.
