As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor visitor activity to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and use computer or tablet systems to support daily operations. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders regarding access-related questions, directions, and incidents.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and surrounding perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
