As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government education location, you will conduct routine foot, bike, and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, documenting and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to school administrators and Allied Universal leadership.
