About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic educational location, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, helping maintain an orderly and welcoming educational environment.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
