Requirements

Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a technology-focused university location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, technology areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns through appropriate channels.
Prepare clear and accurate activity reports and communicate professionally with campus personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
