As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Armed Patrol in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.84 / Hour

Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and changes in site conditions to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.
