As a Armed Security Officer - Patrol in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist with access control. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and response activities.
