As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and supporting site procedures. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems to document access activity. Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Help control access to warehouse, loading dock, and distribution areas by following established authorization procedures and reporting access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution location, including the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
