As a Security Officer Part Time Badge Management in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying credentials, screening authorized visitors and contractors, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
  • Issue and collect visitor badges, coordinate access requests with authorized site contacts, and report access discrepancies or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
