Requirements

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with access control and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and emergency responders as needed.
