Requirements

Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and designated infrastructure areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals and vehicles entering restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related events.
