Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable laws.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document incidents using required reporting procedures.
  • Maintain required armed credentials and handle authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable regulations.
