As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and activity logs in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment in accordance with applicable policies and training.
