You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain awareness of movement throughout the assigned location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
