Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to technology-focused facilities by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and documenting access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift handoff information while communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
