Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
  • Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and promptly communicating concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate security-related records, including access activity, incident reports, shift logs, and equipment concerns, while supporting a professional and service-oriented environment.
