You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge and visitor processes, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, access points, perimeter areas, parking areas, and other assigned locations while reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials and authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by following established post orders, documenting required activities, and supporting continuity of operations at the location.
