Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food production location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, issuing access materials, and following site-specific entry and exit procedures.
  • Monitor entry points, gate activity, and assigned access-control systems; report unusual activity, policy violations, and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying emergency services and/or management as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
