As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, responding to alarms, and supporting visitors and employees with exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents. Our agile, reliable, innovative team puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Control access to restricted areas, issue and recover visitor badges or credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or access control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
