About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Holland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points at a food and beverage manufacturing location, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to site requirements.
  • Control entry and exit of personnel, deliveries, and vehicles while reporting unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating clearly with emergency personnel and site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
