About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen and direct deliveries, vendors, and transportation personnel in accordance with receiving, shipping, and site access procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
