Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a distribution location; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery appointments before allowing access in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle logs; issue and recover access credentials as directed.
  • Observe inbound and outbound shipping areas for unusual activity, report access-related concerns, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
