About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and assigned locations to help identify unauthorized access, unsecured conditions, or unusual activity.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
