As a Security Officer Overnight in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. This driving position calls for clear communication, professional customer service, and attention to detail. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and materials entering or leaving the location, following established access control and inspection procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
