Requirements

  • This position is located in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Screen visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors at designated entry points while verifying access requirements and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and/or other assigned areas to help support an orderly environment and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate with staff, guests, and/or emergency personnel regarding screening expectations, access concerns, and other security-related matters.
