Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment, including the morgue.
  • Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, while observing and reporting unusual activity.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and reporting suspicious behavior or unauthorized persons in accordance with location procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by helping to deter disruptions, offering directions to visitors, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or hazard-related concerns observed during patrols.
