As a Security Officer Non Driving Patrol in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report access concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and completing required logs, reports, and other post-related records.
