About The Position

As a Security Officer New York State Patrol Associate in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, first responders, and/or designated personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entry points, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe public areas, and document security-related incidents, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
