Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a prominent public arts location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a public cultural location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site leadership and/or public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, administrative spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to control access, verify permissions when required, and report unusual behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Support public-facing operations during normal business hours, special events, and high-traffic periods by providing directions, assisting with crowd flow, and reporting security-related incidents or suspicious activity.
