About The Position

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Specialist in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a prestigious hotel and resort location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to guests and staff. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while responding to routine security-related concerns with agility and reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a hospitality location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, lobbies, corridors, amenities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, deliveries, and visitor activity in accordance with location protocols, offering courteous assistance while reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Support hotel operations during busy periods, special events, and after-hours activity by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions, and communicating with staff regarding security-related concerns.
