As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Sterlington, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles;
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access requirements, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or unsecured areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support emergency and evacuation protocols by assisting with access control, directing traffic and/or personnel movement, and providing timely incident information to appropriate responders and site representatives.
