Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Compliance with hospital vaccine requirements is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and vendors at the front desk while carrying out site-specific procedures and other security-related protocols.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with location guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to the appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Support front desk operations by answering questions, providing directions, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating clearly with staff and guests.
  • Observe activity at entry points and waiting areas, report unusual behavior or policy violations, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
