Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals.
  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas, assisting with visitor directions, access control practices, and other security-related duties based on location needs.
  • Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, disturbances, and policy concerns, while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific protocols.
