About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Afternoon Shift in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be willing and able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be willing and able to work in a hospital environment that may include morgue areas.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be willing and able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assisting with access-related procedures, visitor direction, and/or unusual activity reporting while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support healthcare location operations by communicating with staff regarding security-related matters, providing de-escalation support when appropriate, and following post orders for daily activities and incident response.
