About The Position

As a Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver Full Time in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist visitors and staff with excellent customer service, and bring a reliable, caring, and team-focused approach while acting with integrity every day.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred.
The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access-related issues, reporting unusual behavior, and supporting a professional environment for guests and employees.
Assist with closing procedures, crowd observation, and/or traffic flow during busy periods, special events, and peak shopping hours while following post orders and client-directed protocols.
