About The Position

Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor lobby and front desk activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or visitor access permissions, and direct guests, employees, and contractors according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation, and communicate with site personnel regarding security-related issues, deliveries, and/or access requests.
