As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Bellefonte, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Professional at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and support day-to-day security-related operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and front desk support at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and emergency response guidance.
  • Answer phones, greet arrivals, direct guests, and communicate clearly with staff and/or vendors regarding entry procedures and front desk expectations.
  • Support security-related operations by documenting daily activity, maintaining accurate records, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening and presence at the front desk.
