About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Access Specialist in Lake Mary, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk professional in a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access and badge activity, and support daily security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. In this visible role, you will help to deter incidents while representing a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, visitor management processes, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized entry in a calm and professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations with strong problem-solving skills, while documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Answer phones, greet employees, guests, and vendors, and support badge distribution, sign-in procedures, and other front desk administrative duties tied to security-related operations.
  • Observe activity at entry points and common reception areas, report unusual behavior or conditions, and follow Allied Universal protocols for escalation and/or assistance.
