About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, managing access points, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, visitors, and/or deliveries by checking credentials, verifying authorization, and directing individuals according to site protocols.
  • Screen vehicles, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with posted rules and reporting procedures for a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access control areas, gates, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require follow-up.
