About The Position
This position requires working knowledge of safety and security practices. The role involves working skills in the use of police communications systems and equipment, and in the use of security vehicles. The Security Officer III must demonstrate the ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions, and to react in a professional manner to emergencies. Additionally, the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with a wide range and level of people, and to assist with investigations in a professional manner is essential.
Requirements
- Valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Experience in law enforcement, security, safety, and/or work in a position with related experience.
Nice To Haves
- Police Academy Certificate and Certified Police Officer Certificate from State preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health, hospital, or Department of Corrections.
