About The Position

IGT is a global leader in gaming, delivering thrilling and responsible gaming experiences across various platforms. The Security Officer II role is an individual contributor responsible for maintaining the physical security of personnel and property within local IGT facilities by enforcing all IGT security directives and regulations. The primary focus is on maintaining the security of the assigned facility's personnel and property. This role involves observing facilities through fixed posts or patrols, monitoring behavior, enforcing security regulations, identifying and reporting violators, and communicating security violations or threats to physical security. The officer serves as the first point of contact in emergency situations and as a liaison to law enforcement and emergency medical personnel. A key part of the role includes preparing reports of incidents involving criminal and security violations. Additionally, the Security Officer II will work in the Security Operation Center, troubleshooting security equipment failures, monitoring officer assignments, ensuring call resolutions, documenting shift activity, and monitoring access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems, including CCTV with the Ultrakey system. The position also emphasizes customer service by proactively maintaining a safe and secure environment, providing professional and courteous service, attempting to diffuse dangerous situations, educating employees on security policies, and assisting employees with security-related issues and shipments.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of the department's procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of skills in Federal, state, local laws and ordinances.
  • Basic knowledge of skills in Security/law enforcement equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of skills in Security protective systems (fire alarms, building access, etc.).
  • CCTV experience.
  • Associate's Degree/High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has 1 to 2 years of experience in security.
  • CPR certification.
  • First Aid.
  • AED.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the physical security of personnel and property within local IGT facilities by enforcing all IGT security directives and regulations.
  • Maintains security of personnel and property of assigned facility.
  • Observes facilities from a fixed post or by patrolling on foot.
  • Monitors behavior and enforces security regulations.
  • Identifies and reports violators as appropriate.
  • Communicates security violations or other threats to physical security (fire, disorder, any emergency).
  • Serves as first point of contact in emergency situations.
  • Serves as liaison to law enforcement, fire agency personnel, or emergency medical personnel from federal, state, or local agencies.
  • Prepares reports of all incidents involving criminal and security violations.
  • Receives, reviews and trouble shoots level 1 security equipment failures.
  • Monitors security officer current assignments.
  • Ensures calls are resolved.
  • Documents shift activity in the Daily Activity Log.
  • Monitors access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems.
  • Monitors CCTV with the use of the Ultrakey system. Understands how to reset the Ultrakey system when needed.
  • Proactively maintains an environment that is safe and secure in appearance and in actuality.
  • Provides professional and courteous service at all times.
  • Attempts to diffuse or prevent dangerous or criminal activities whenever possible.
  • Educates IGT employees with regard to security policies and regulations.
  • Assists IGT employees with issues relating to security (security escorts, providing directions, assisting with badging, etc.).
  • Provides assistance with the shipment of the monthly USB's.
  • Promotes an ongoing attitude of customer service.
