About The Position

This role involves greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, operating the register for fuel and in-store purchases, and promoting the Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program. The cashier will also answer customer questions, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and store, stock shelves and merchandise, monitor inventory levels, and follow all company policies and safety procedures. Additionally, the position assists with opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, honest, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching
• Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler
