About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer Identity Verification in Salinas, California, you will help safeguard a food and beverage distribution location. You will maintain a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, assisting visitors and employees, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role also involves observing delivery activity, patrolling facility areas, and responding to security concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel.
Observe inbound and outbound truck, trailer, and delivery activity; document irregularities and report concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
