As a Security Officer Identity Screening in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology location, you will support access control by verifying credentials, screening visitors, and monitoring entry points to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen persons and approved items entering designated areas using established procedures, verifying credentials, reviewing access authorization, and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and restricted-area access to help deter unauthorized entry and support protection of sensitive technology, equipment, and information.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeters, and parking areas, while documenting observations and reporting potential concerns.
