As a Security Officer - Security Screening in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology location, you will help support access control by screening visitors, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or materials in accordance with established entry requirements, using approved screening equipment and procedures.
  • Verify identification, credentials, appointments, and/or access authorization before permitting entry to designated areas.
  • Respond to screening alarms, access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; report observations through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
