About The Position

The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment for Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) patients, visitors, staff, equipment, supplies, facilities, and hospital contents. The role patrols premises, monitors surveillance equipment, enforces security policies, and helps prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. The position is based at the Yale Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is identified as safety-sensitive under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CLEET Armed Security Guard License. Certified Peace Officers must obtain CLEET Armed Security Guard Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills for interacting with the public.
• Positive interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous in highly stressful, fast-paced situations.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of related security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises and monitor activity, including detecting suspicious behavior.
• Control access to restricted areas, prevent unauthorized entry, and enforce hospital entry and exit policies.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with evacuations and emergency response procedures.
• Protect patients, staff, and visitors; enforce hospital policies and site rules.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and vandalism and respond to potential threats.
• Document and report security incidents, suspicious activities, and breaches.
• Coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and legal and regulatory security requirements.
